CLOSED-LOOP PROCESS CONTROL

IDENTIFY ‒ REGULATE ‒ ELIMINATE

Recognize problems and solve them right from the start.

Long-term elimination

We follow the approach that it is not enough to identify defects in injection molding parts and then remove the faulty components, but that they should be eliminated in the long term. This is exactly why PRIAMUS offers an application-oriented selection of closed-loop process controls.

As with all PRIAMUS products, we are also committed to the modular concept here, which means that the closed-loop process controls can be selected and used according to specific customer requirements.

Holistic understanding

We have a holistic understanding of dynamic closed-loop process control. When we speak of closed-loop process control, we mean the adjustment of the manipulated variables while taking into account the process data we collect in order to achieve the specified target values in the cavity. Our goal is to change the influencing variables in such a way that we can guarantee the optimum parameters of the parts.

Holistic Picture

Especially with our closed-loop process control systems we adhere to the following principle: for our closed-loop process control circuits we do not exclusively use pressure signals from the cavity. Rather, by combining pressure and temperature signals, we can obtain a holistic picture of the process for our closed-loop process control algorithms. For example, we use temperature sensors not only to determine the cavity temperature, but also as detectors of the melt front. This way, we generate signals that provide us with additional information about filling volume and time.

Cross-industry control options

Based on our extended process information, we can offer customers a variety of correction options for their processes. The solutions can be used across all industries and are not limited to a specific application. This means that after clarifying the specific requirements, a pre-selection of the potential systems can be made.
